Microsoft has released cumulative update KB5121109 (Build 28120.2738) for Windows 11 version 26H1, intended for insiders on the Experimental channel. This release includes the removal of the legacy WMIC utility, the rollback of the Drag Tray feature based on user feedback, as well as several important fixes aimed at improving system stability and accessibility.
- WMIC removal. The Windows Management Instrumentation Command-line (WMIC) utility has been removed from this release. The change is part of the gradual deprecation of WMIC and its complete removal from Windows.
- Drag Tray. Based on feedback from Windows Insider Program participants, Microsoft has removed the Drag Tray feature from this build. The company continues to work on improvements in this area and promises to announce a future replacement in one of the upcoming updates.
- Settings. Fixed an issue introduced in the previous build where Settings crashed when interacting with System > Notifications.
- Accessibility. Fixed an issue from the previous build where Magnifier failed to launch for some Insider Program participants.

- Known compatibility issue with PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS. Due to a known compatibility issue with PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, the game may fail to launch after installing this build. The restriction is intentionally applied to avoid stability problems while Microsoft works on a fix together with the game developer. The company promises to share details and a resolution timeline later.
