How to Download an ISO Image Using UUP Dump
Instructions for downloading and creating ISO images of Windows 10, Windows 11, and Windows 11 Insider Preview using the UUP Dump service.
Given that Microsoft rarely publishes public ISO images of Insider versions of the Windows 11 and Windows 10 operating system, it will be important to consider an additional method for obtaining Windows 11 and Windows 10 ISO images.
UUP Dump is the most practical and straightforward way to obtain ISO images of any version of the Windows 10 or Windows 11 Insider program. Using the UUP Dump service, images can be created immediately after Microsoft announces a new build. UUP Dump creates a download configuration file according to your selection, downloads the necessary files directly from Microsoft's servers, and creates an ISO image.
Please note that you do not need to join the Windows Insider program to install and use Insider builds. You can simply download and install any Insider Preview build using the UUP Dump service, and when an update for the installed build is released, download the new version build and update over the installed build.
From this article, you will learn how to use the UUP Dump service to obtain any ISO image of the Windows 11 and Windows 10 Insider channel.
How to Create a Windows 11 Insider Preview ISO Image Using UUP Dump Tool
Open the UUP Dump service website and in the Quick options section, select the desired Insider channel. You can also use the search bar to find the required operating system build.
Below the search bar, select the required OS version. In our example, we will use the Canary Channel. You can also use the search bar to find the required operating system build.
Select the preferred update channel and then the architecture bitness. We choose the latest Windows 11 64-bit build on the Canary channel: Windows 11 Insider Preview 10.0.25967.1010 (rs_prerelease) amd64.
Select the preferred language from the Language section and click the Next button.
At the next stage, select the editions you want to download – Windows Pro or Windows Home. Please note that the Windows Team edition is the Enterprise edition for use on Surface Hub, and the N editions are the regular Windows editions without multimedia components such as Windows Media Player. The N editions require a specific product key and are not activated using standard Windows product keys.
We recommend selecting only the Home or Pro version (or both), depending on your needs. Click the Next button to continue.
In the next window, leave the default parameters, namely - Download and convert to ISO and Include updates (Windows convert only). Click the Create download package button.
Note. To convert the install.wim file to install.esd in the ISO image, you can enable the Use solid (ESD) compression option.
After clicking the Create download package button, you will be prompted to download a ZIP archive. Download this file; it will be small. Extract the file using any convenient method. We extracted the file to the D:\Temp folder.
Open the folder where you extracted the archive and run the command line file uup_download_windows.cmd as an administrator.
If the SmartScreen filter is triggered during launch, in the window that appears, click the More info > Run anyway button.
The UUP Dump script begins downloading the necessary UUP files.
Upon completion of downloading the UUP files, the script will begin assembling the ISO image. A sign that the download is complete and the ISO creation has started is the background color changing from black to blue.
When the image creation process is complete and you are prompted to close the command line, press the 0 key to close it.
After the build is complete, the ISO image can be found in the folder where you extracted the ZIP archive.
Having created a Windows 11 or Windows 10 ISO image, you can either create a bootable USB drive with it or mount it on your computer and run the Setup.exe file (double-click on the image, then go to the mounted drive and run the Setup.exe executable file) to update the system to the new version.
