KB5125726

Microsoft releases cumulative update KB5125726 (Build 28120.2912) for Windows 11 version 26H1, intended for insiders on the Experimental channel. This update includes a small set of general improvements and fixes aimed at improving system stability. The changes are being rolled out to insiders gradually, so some users may not see them immediately.

Known issues: Microsoft is investigating reports that games with Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) protection may fail to launch and display the error “The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b)”. A fix is promised in the next build.

Builds released to the Experimental channel (26H1) represent the latest platform changes at early stages of development and are not tied to any specific Windows release. Features and capabilities included in these builds may never ship in the final version, as Microsoft tries out different concepts and gathers feedback. Features may change, be removed, or be replaced, and some of them may never become available outside the Windows Insider Program. However, when these features are ready, they may appear in future Windows releases.

To install the update, go to Settings > Windows Update and click Check for updates. A restart of the computer is required to complete the installation.
