Microsoft has released cumulative update KB5124115 (Build 26220.9472) for Windows 11, version 25H2 for Insiders in the Beta Channel. Update KB5124115 brings the phone continuity feature to the Beta Channel without installing a browser, fixes cursor and wallpaper issues from recent builds, and teaches File Explorer Home to remember which sections are collapsed.
- Lock screen. The internal mechanisms for displaying Windows images have been reworked: Windows Spotlight – the feature has become more stable.
- Phone continuity. Continuing to view a page from your phone on your PC has become easier. If the browser you use on your phone is not installed on your PC, the Resume card now offers two options: open the page in your default browser or install your usual browser. This way you can continue right away without waiting for the app to install.
- Settings. The design of the Settings > System > Storage > Temporary files page has been slightly reworked. Fixed a bug from recent builds that caused custom mouse cursor appearance settings not to be applied. Fixed a bug from recent builds that caused the selected desktop wallpaper to reset after a restart.
- File Explorer. File Explorer Home remembers which sections are collapsed and which are expanded, so the view remains the same the next time you open it.
Installing via Windows Update: Go to Settings > Windows Update and click Check for updates. A restart of your computer will be required to complete the installation.
