KB5095132

Microsoft has released cumulative update KB5095132 (Build 26220.8764) for Windows 11 version 25H2, intended for insiders on the Beta channel. The main innovation of the build is the introduction of a unified update mechanism that synchronizes the installation of drivers, .NET platform, and firmware with the monthly quality update, so users will need only one reboot per month. Additionally, the developers expanded language support for voice access and improved the rendering of the Mongolian font, as well as fixed a bug where Outlook could stop responding to the close button.

To install update KB5095132 (Build 26220.8764), you need to go to the Settings menu, select the Windows Update section, and click the Check for updates button. A computer restart is required to complete the installation.

How the new features work:

Unified Update Mechanism. An architecture is being introduced that synchronizes drivers, the .NET platform, and firmware with the monthly cumulative quality package. The system orchestrates component installation within a single servicing stack transaction, allowing the system state to transition from one revision to another while requiring only one reboot cycle to commit registry changes and replace files in place.

Voice Access. The speech recognition engine has been expanded with acoustic models and language packs for Portuguese in both European and Brazilian dialects, as well as Korean. This enables the natural language processing pipeline to convert phonemes into text and correctly execute commands by relying on local inferences without cloud calls, thereby reducing latency and enhancing interaction privacy.

Fonts. The glyph shaping engine in the Mongolian Baiti font has been improved using updated OpenType feature tables and contextual substitutions. The text layout module now more accurately processes isolated, initial, medial, and final character forms, ensuring uniform spacing and correct cursive connection of the Mongolian script within a bidirectional environment.

Outlook Bug Fix. A race condition in the main window message processing loop has been resolved, where the classic client was unresponsive to the WM_CLOSE event. The issue was caused by a hung UI thread due to a deadlock between a navigation pane state saving call and the holding of a critical section, preventing the process from properly terminating when the close button was clicked.
