KB5075912

Microsoft released cumulative update KB5075912 for Windows 10 version 22H2 as part of the February 2026 Patch Tuesday. This update is intended for devices participating in the Extended Security Updates (ESU) program. The cumulative package KB5026435 (build 19045.6937) is available for Windows 10 version 22H2 on x86, x64 (amd64), and ARM64 processors. As a reminder, support for Windows 10 ended on October 14, 2025, and the system now receives updates only through the ESU program.

Cumulative update KB5075912 installs automatically via Windows Update. To check manually, go to Settings > Update & Security and click Check for updates. A system reboot is required to complete installation. After applying this update, the Windows 10 (version 22H2) build number will change to 19045.6937.

How the new features work:

Fonts: This update aligns Chinese fonts with GB18030-2022A standard. Technically, it extends TrueType/OpenType code tables to support Plane 2 characters (CJK Unified Ideographs Extensions C-F) and enforces proper display of currency, name, and geographical symbols via the cmap mechanism.

Security: Fixed an ACPI stack bug with VSM and Secure Launch enabled. Previously, ZwPowerInformation with PowerActionSleep conflicted with the VSM trusted kernel, causing reboot instead of sleep/shutdown. The patch corrects the power IRP handling sequence.

File folders: File Explorer now correctly processes desktop.ini when renaming folders. The IShellFolder::SetNameOf call no longer ignores LocalizedResourceName. User-defined folder names display as intended rather than falling back to the physical folder name.

Graphics: Addressed user-mode WDDM driver (dxgkrnl.sys) instability on certain GPUs. The bug occurred during context switching between DirectX 11/12 and Vulkan engines, exhausting descriptors in the DXGDEVICE pool. The patch stabilizes the descriptor allocator.

Secure Boot: Microsoft is gradually updating UEFI CA (Key Exchange Key) certificates. New certificates are written into the Signature Database (db) and KEK. To avoid SECURE_BOOT_POLICY_VIOLATION on old firmware, deployment uses a safety rollback mechanism in BootMgr, restricted to devices with clean update history.
